Mal Stevens is an Australian author who writes under a pen name, choosing to keep her personal life separate from her work so that each story may stand on its own and meet readers without expectation.
Her writing spans contemporary fiction, rural romance, inspirational works, science fiction and fantasy, united by recurring themes of hope, healing, resilience and the unseen connections that shape our lives.
An author for as long as she can remember, Mal continues to work across many areas of healthcare and personal development, including hospital nursing, correctional health, FIFO mining, cosmetic nursing, life coaching, motivational speaking and energy healing. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the strength, vulnerability and extraordinary stories carried by ordinary people.
Mal does not see herself as the sole creator of her books. Many of her stories arrive as though they have been remembered rather than invented. She considers herself a translator of ideas, weaving together lived experience, intuition and what she believes are inspirations received from a wisdom greater than herself. Whether readers view that as imagination, intuition or something beyond, she hopes only that each book finds the person who needs it.
She believes that once a book is released into the world, it no longer belongs to its author. It becomes part of the reader’s own journey, offering comfort, hope or a new way of seeing, exactly as it is meant to ✨

“There’s a body, there’s a mind, and then there’s also a soul consciousness. When you get in touch with the soul consciousness, you become aware that other people also have a soul, and you communicate with that. Then you realise that you’re both part of a more divine realm, and that’s called “divine consciousness.” You can go even deeper into what is then called “unity consciousness,” where you realise that we are all inseparably one. All the separation is totally artificial.”
